Product Description
S350 High Strength 4mm Hot Galvanized Heavy Duty Composite Steel Bridge Decking is a premium profiled steel deck solution for bridge construction focusing on high strength, long durability and efficient site erection. Manufactured from S350 structural steel with minimum yield strength of 350 MPa, this 4mm deck outperforms ordinary mild steel, realizing lighter structure without sacrificing load capacity. The hot-dip galvanized coating offers long-lasting corrosion protection, perfectly suited for bridges exposed to de-icing salt, coastal atmosphere and high humidity. When paired with cast-in-place concrete, it serves as both permanent formwork and tensile reinforcement, cutting steel rebar usage and shortening construction cycles. Our decking can be designed in compliance with AASHTO, Eurocode or local specifications, with diversified profiles and supporting accessories adaptable to various bridge shapes.
Material Properties – S350 High‑Strength Steel
The deck is cold formed from S350 steel conforming to EN 10025‑2. It reaches 350 MPa minimum yield strength and 470–630 MPa tensile strength. Favourable strength-to-weight ratio enables longer supporting spans and reduces temporary props during concrete pouring. The material possesses great ductility and cold-forming performance to avoid cracking during rib shaping. Each steel coil is accompanied by mill test certificates covering chemical composition, mechanical performance and low-temperature Charpy impact data. The steel is fully weldable and compatible with standard shear stud welding.
Composite Deck Design and Structural Performance
Deck profiles adopt deep, closely spaced ribs with surface embossments, creating reliable mechanical interlock with concrete to achieve full composite action. The deck works as tensile reinforcement of the bridge slab to boost overall bearing capacity. Standard rib height ranges 50mm–80mm, and rib pitch can be optimized according to span requirements. The 4mm thickness provides superior rigidity to bear wet concrete load, better than thinner 2.5mm/3mm deck panels. Our engineering team provides professional span-load tables and design calculations covering ULS and SLS verification, including deflection control, vibration evaluation and fatigue analysis under cyclic traffic loads.
Hot‑Dip Galvanized Corrosion Protection
All finished panels undergo hot-dip galvanizing following ASTM A123 / EN ISO 1461. Minimum coating weight reaches 600 g/m² (85 μm) on both sides. Zinc coating provides cathodic protection for cut edges and minor scratches, applicable to C5‑M high-corrosion environments. The zinc layer features uniform thickness and strong adhesion, resistant to peeling during transportation and installation. For projects with extra durability requirements, we provide duplex anti-corrosion system: galvanizing plus epoxy or polyurethane topcoat to extend maintenance intervals over 50 years. Every batch conducts coating thickness, adhesion and Preece testing with full inspection reports available.

Quality Control and Testing Protocols
Our production line follows rigorous quality management certified by ISO 9001 and EN 1090‑2. In-process inspection covers dimension accuracy, profile straightness and coating thickness monitoring. NDT inspection can be arranged for welds and shear stud connections upon demand. Raw material samples complete tensile and bend testing; salt spray testing (ASTM B117) verifies anti-corrosion performance. We maintain full traceability from raw coil to finished goods, supplying complete document packages: MTRs, galvanizing reports, dimension records and third-party inspection certificates as required.
Application Scenarios and Installation Advantages
Our S350 composite decking is widely adopted for highway bridges, railway bridges, pedestrian overpasses and industrial access ramps. Moderate self-weight supports rapid, safe installation with less heavy lifting equipment, lowering labour cost and construction duration. The panels form a safe working platform for steel reinforcement and concrete pouring, largely removing demands for temporary formwork. Matching edge trims and sealing strips prevent concrete leakage and deliver neat bottom surface. Our technical team supplies erection drawings and on-site guidance to ensure installation complies with design requirements.
Why Choose Our Heavy‑Duty Composite Bridge Decking
Select our S350 galvanized composite bridge decking to gain excellent structural efficiency, long-term durability and optimized construction cost. 4mm thickness and S350 grade enable longer spans and fewer intermediate supports, cutting substructure investment. Hot-dip galvanized surface minimizes routine maintenance for decades even under severe outdoor conditions. Supported by professional engineering service and strict quality control, we act as your trusted supplier for infrastructure projects.
