An H beam is a steel shape that looks like a capital H. The two wide flanges and the middle web work together, so one beam can carry a very heavy load without bending. Because of that shape, an H beam can replace several smaller beams and save steel weight at the same time.
We supply the section in three ways, so one supplier covers both standard and project work:
-
Hot Rolled H Beam: Rolled at the mill in universal beam (UB) and universal column (UC) profiles, ready to erect.
-
Welded H Beam: Built up from steel plates, any web height and flange width; ideal for heavy loads and non-standard sizes.
-
H Section Steel Column: Supplied with base plates, stiffeners, end plates, and bolt holes already finished.

🌟 Why Customers Choose It
-
Strong but not heavy: The H shape puts the steel where the force is, so the frame carries more load with less steel. That means lower steel cost and a lighter foundation.
-
Fast to install: Holes are drilled and every piece is marked with a number matching your erection drawing. Site teams bolt the frame together in days instead of weeks.
-
Straight and accurate: CNC cutting and automatic welding keep each member inside tolerance, so parts fit the first time and you do not pay for site rework.
-
Rust protection that lasts: Hot-dip galvanizing forms a zinc layer of 65 to 200 microns, normally protecting outdoor steel for 20 to 30 years without repainting.
-
One supplier, no gaps: Cutting, welding, drilling, galvanizing, marking, and packing are all done in-house, so nothing waits between different workshops.
-
Made to your drawing: Any size, any steel grade, any color, and any packing method. Small trial orders are welcome.
-
Easy to inspect and document: Each bundle carries a mill test certificate and an inspection file, making customs clearance and client approval simple.
🏗️ Where It Is Used
If your project needs a big open space, a heavy load, or a fast build, an H beam is usually the simplest answer.
| Application Area | Typical Use |
|---|---|
| Factory & Workshop | Roof beams and columns that leave a wide working floor without pillars |
| Warehouse & Logistics Hub | Long-span portal frames for free movement of forklifts and trucks |
| Mezzanine & Platform | Extra floor space inside an existing building, added in weeks |
| Crane Runway Girder | Heavy beam carrying an overhead travelling crane along the workshop |
| Multi-storey Steel Building | Columns and beams for apartments, offices, hotels, and schools |
| Bridge & Walkway | Main girders and cross beams for short-span road and pedestrian bridges |
| Roof Truss & Purlin | Light frame that holds the roof panel in place |
| Equipment & Solar Support | Frames for machines, tanks, pipe racks, conveyor lines, and solar panels |

🛠️ Customization to Customer Requirements
We work from your structural drawings, BIM model, or a simple sketch. Each item below is a standard option, so you do not need to split the order between a mill and a fabricator:
-
Dimension & Section: Non-standard web/flange sizes, tapered beams, built-up sections, spliced long members.
-
Cutting & Machining: CNC flame/plasma cutting, saw cutting, cope & notch, camber, end milling.
-
Holes & Connections: CNC drilled bolt holes, slotted holes, base plates, end plates, gusset plates, stiffeners, shear studs.
-
Surface Protection: Galvanizing thickness from 65 to 200 microns, duplex system, RAL topcoat color matching.
-
Marking & Packing: Piece mark per erection drawing, barcode, plywood protection, seaworthy bundles, container/break-bulk loading plan.
-
Documentation: Mill test certificate, welding procedure & welder certificate, galvanizing report, packing list, erection drawing.
(If your project requires a specific standard such as EN 1090 EXC2, AISC, or AS/NZS, tell us at the enquiry stage and we will confirm the applicable route in the quotation.)
🔬 Production and Quality Control
-
Material Sourcing: Raw material from approved mills only, with heat numbers recorded on every member.
-
Processing: CNC cutting, automatic submerged arc welding (for built-up H beams), straightening, and a shot-blasting line.
-
In-Process Checks: Fit-up check, weld visual check, dimensional check, galvanizing thickness check.
-
Final Inspection: Pre-shipment inspection with a photo report. Third-party inspection can be arranged on request.
📦 Packing and Delivery
-
Packing: Members are bundled by piece mark with steel strapping, protected by plastic film or plywood at contact points.
-
Loading: Loaded according to a loading plan issued for your approval.
-
Lead Time: Normal delivery is 15 to 25 days after deposit and drawing confirmation.
-
Trade Terms: FOB, CIF, CFR, and DAP terms are available.
